Abstract
The University Librarian appointed a committee, chaired by Gordon Law, director of the Catherwood Library, in February 2000. In its interim report dated August of this year, the committee sought to clarify some of the issues relating to distance learning and make recommendations for a CUL framework for providing information services and products. "Distributed learning" is a type of distance learning which relies heavily on technology, and increasingly web technology, to deliver an educational experience anytime and anywhere on the globe.
