As an artist my artwork from the last 8 years investigates the intersections between culture, science and medicine. Past projects have been fueled by our relationship to technology as it relates to our physical bodies, the scientific veil of rationality dropped over the complexity of nature, and the promises of western medicine.

I am creating a fictional company, Autonomous Medical Industries, which makes customized devices and kits for people to undergo medical procedures at home. The project will include a company website touting their philosophy and products. Three or the product kits will actually be fabricated. Each kit is also an aesthetically beautiful art object, including bespoke stainless steel instruments and customized electronics, along with such items as anaesthesia, a guide on how to convert household items into sophisticated instruments, sterilizing best practices, skills building exercises, pain killers and of course training videos.
