Three or four years ago, I started to think about the question of how images circulate. I consciously opened a part of my practice where the emphasis would be placed on "making an image of the way images exist," so to speak, instead of making images or projects and then witness how they entered this or that field. I decided that the mediation itself could be the platform for a practice (a practice of the in-between); or to put it in another way, to be the Media, a practice of the in-between. I guess the most fundamental factor of this decision is a desire to enter the field where a real negotiation takes place that is not circumscribed to the ghetto of the esthetic field and yet is totally informed by that conversation.

"What to do about Live?" is the main question I have been asking through a body of work that I initially named "Television (an address)". The current project is a further investigation of this problem and a new articulation of the question in a more ambitious and a more politically relevant dimension. The operation itself remains purposefully very discreet: the new project retains the focus on isolating a technological/ mediatic issue in order to shed a light on its historical and epistemological aspects.
