This fact sheet describes the scientific evidence of whether the organophosphate insecticide diazinon affects the risk of breast cancer and other cancers. This includes a summary of the studies that have evaluated its cancer risk, information on its use in agriculture and for pest control in the home, garden and on pets, who may be exposed to this pesticide, residues in food, where more research is needed, and how to minimize exposure to diazinon.
