| Authors: | Cawley, John |
| Keywords: | Policy Analysis and Management |
| Issue Date: | 2009 |
| Citation: | The Journal of Health Administration Education, Summer 2009. |
| Abstract: | We present data from a February 2009 survey of health administration faculty members employed in programs recognized by the Association of University Programs of Health Administration or are U.S.-based academic members of the Academy of Management’s Health Care Management Division.
We present summary statistics for faculty salaries by rank and school of employment. Next, we examine salaries in departments with an emphasis on teaching versus departments with an emphasis on research. Lastly, we estimate the association between faculty salaries and education, experience, measures of human capital, and demographic characteristics. |
