| Abstract: | Memorial Statement for Professor William Abell Wimsatt, Ph.D. (1917-1985) who was Assistant Professor (1945), Associate Professor (1947), and Professor (1951) of Zoology and Chairman of the Department of Zoology at Cornell University. "He was an active member of the Section of Genetics, Development, and Physiology in the Division of Biological Sciences." From 1945 until 1960, Professor Wimsatt taught histology and embryology to students in the New York State College of Veterinary Medicine. The memorial statements contained herein were prepared by the Office of the Dean of the University Faculty of Cornell University to honor its faculty for their service to the university. |
