| Abstract: | Memorial Statement for Professor Emmett Norlin Bergman, D.V.M., M.S., Ph.D. (1929-1989) who was Associate Professor (1961) and Professor (1966) of Physiology at the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. "His early interest in metabolic diseases of ruminants, begun as his doctoral thesis, was maintained throughout his career." There was international recognition for "his systematic, carefully controlled studies of metabolic disorders." He also "achieved an exceptionally harmonious balance between his two major professional activities, research and teaching." The memorial statements contained herein were prepared by the Office of the Dean of the University Faculty of Cornell University to honor its faculty for their service to the university. |
