Agriculture, Energy & the Environment Program (AEEP)Community home pageThe Susquehanna River is the largest tributary and the single largest nutrient source to Chesapeake Bay. Roughly 25% of the total drainage area is in New York State (termed the Upper Susquehanna River basin) and the NYS contribution of nutrients to the Bay is substantial. The Agriculture, Energy, and Environment Program (AEEP) at Cornell University aims to advance understanding of nutrient sources, sinks, and management options in the Upper Susquehanna River basin with special emphasis on the evolving relationship between rural landscapes and energy.
