| Abstract: | User management is essential for community and
interactive web systems. User management is often
an afterthought in a project; although it is
critical to the usability (a user that can't register log in can't use the service) and managability of a site, developers often build ad hoc solutions that are unreliable, insecure and hard to use.
Tapir User Manager is a user management system that's been used to support large traffic sites. This presentation introduces TUM and explains how it's been used for projects at CUL and elsewhere. |
