My work is born from a deep dissatisfaction with the engineering research culture in which I am immersed. That is, I use media arts practice as a tool for prodding at the bubble in which engineers place themselves as ambivalent "problem solvers" who are not involved with the process of identifying the "problems" to be solved, nor bear responsibility for the impacts its "solutions" have on the society they inhabit.
