I've always been interested in the body. My early dance training sensitized me to how the body moves, how we perceive ourselves, space, and movement, and how proximity and proprioception impact our experiences. Dance also taught me a great deal about how structure, control, and discipline carry specific cultural messages.

The "Endangered Senses" project is a series of sensory prosthetics that situates the human as animal. The project is designed to allow humans to experience a sense or ability possessed by other animals, but not by humans. Through "Endangered Senses" I seek to confront human anthropocentrism by questioning our assertion of dominance over the natural world. The project is designed to examine our assumptions about both how we filter our surroundings and how we perceive other species.
