My proposal for the New Media Fellowship is a web-based exploration of our shared experiences of death, myth, and mourning to reconnect people to their own humanity. Through the honoring of ancient ways, and application of indigenous knowledge, I seek to make sacred a part of the Internet where visitors and viewers can submit the names and stories of deceased relatives into a visualized, shareable database: the Online Journey to Mictlan.
